The Eagles are going to the NFC championship game (for the fourth year in a row, having not won any of the previous three [grumble grumble]), and the Steelers are in the AFC championship...anyone else hoping for an all-PA Superbowl? (Psst, [info]webrat—if you root for the Eagles next weekend, I'll root for the Steelers, and hope we see you in Jacksonville ;-D [Where, honestly, I don't care if we win; just getting to the frippin' Superbowl would make me happy at this point.])

Ed Rendell is, of course, going to the Eagles game but he's passing on the Pittsburgh one because he has a "committment" to Comcast SportsNet. I mean, I know he does the show, but c'mon, you'd think he could get out of it to, well, be Governor.

I think he just doesn't want the Eagles fans to come after him when he's rooting for That Other Team :-) If they both get in the Superbowl, he's gonna wind up making someone mad, though...

And if the Steelers win and we don't, I'll root for them in the Superbowl, just to be loyal to my state.

And if neither of them win (heaven forfend), I'll...um...knock back a shot of vodka and throw Nerf footballs at the screen during the Superbowl :-P

All-PA Superbowl would totally rock, though. Here's hoping!
